Personalised Rehab Programmes

Whether you are considering a home rehab in Sussex, a personalised programme will be created for you by a doctor, a therapist and a consultant psychologist.

Everyone experiences addiction differently, and most people suffering from addiction have one or more underlying mental health problems. Our experienced professionals have first-hand experience helping treat these conditions, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bulimia
  • Anorexia
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Gambling addiction
  • Panic attacks
  • PTSD
  • OCD
  • Self harm

When we create your treatment programme, we will consider your physical and mental health, any underlying medical problems, your age, the type and extent of your addiction, and your financial situation to ensure you get the help you need.

Outpatient & Inpatient Rehab Programmes

Depending on your financial situation and the extent of support you need to get through rehab, you will be either an inpatient or outpatient.

Inpatients stay in clinic accommodation and undergo a fully supervised detox. The high standards of care provided during this type of rehabilitation make it the most successful type of rehab. Patients have no opportunity to access the substances they are addicted to during their detox.

Outpatients stay at home during their detox and receive visits from a nurse. They are also asked to check in with their clinic every day. This type of rehab has a lower success rate than inpatient rehab because there is no hard restriction on alcohol or drugs.

Which type of rehab is best for you?

Inpatient rehab is always the best choice, no matter your addiction. However, this isn’t always convenient, especially for functional addicts who hold down a job. In this case, outpatient rehab may be best.

If you want to find out more about the different types of rehab in Sussex, call our helpline on 0800 118 2892 to speak with one of our helpful advisors.

What Does Rehab Involve?

The first stage of drug or alcohol rehab is a clinical assessment of your condition. In most cases, this takes place at the clinic, but it may take place at a private hospital.

The assessment will help your doctor and therapists better understand your condition and is necessary to put together a personalised treatment programme. Our rehab centres in Sussex also offer immediate rehab admission, in which case your clinical assessment will be performed on the day you are admitted.

Once admitted into a rehab clinic, the hard work begins. You will start a detox, which will cleanse your body of the substances you are addicted to. You will be prescribed withdrawal medication to help ease your symptoms, and your detox will be supervised by BACP accredited nurses. Although this is the hardest stage of rehab, with our clinics you will receive the help and support you need to get through it.

A detox can take anywhere from two weeks to two months. It depends on the substances in question and whether you relapse during the detox (which is highly unlikely to happen if you are an inpatient at the clinic).

The detox period ends once the substances have left your body, but you will still be on withdrawal medication to ease your symptoms for a short while afterwards. You will be weaned off these slowly over a period of several months.

With rehabilitation in Sussex, you will attend therapy sessions throughout the process, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These therapies are designed to change your behaviour and help you cope with life after recovery.

We will also put in place family support to strengthen your family unit and educate family members about the illness you have and the therapies you receive. This will be provided for free for one year as part of our service to help everyone adjust to your new life.
