Why Choose Rehab in Leicestershire?
Leicestershire is home to several high-quality rehab clinics that we recommend to anyone seeking help for addiction.
Whether you are from Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley, Wigston or any other area of Leicestershire, there are rehab clinics with excellent transport links that boast their own private grounds for a relaxing, tranquil retreat.
As part of your recovery programme at our rehab centres in Leicestershire, you will enjoy a packed activity schedule that may include:
- Meditation sessions
- Anxiety workshops
- Educational workshops
- SMART recovery sessions
- Weekly outings and walks
- Weekly gym, swimming, and workout sessions
The rehab experience we offer is unlike what you would probably expect. You will have freedom to explore our grounds and you will enjoy your time with us. In fact, many of our patients look back at their time with us as more like a short break than rehab. We take this as a complement. Rehab is hard, but it shouldn’t be boring.
Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab in Leicestershire
We recognise that everyone is different and not everyone can enter rehab clinic accommodation for several weeks.
The best type of rehab for everyone is inpatient rehab because the standards of care are outstanding. But, you may prefer to be an outpatient, in which case we can make this happen.
As an inpatient, you will undergo your rehab in Leicestershire in clinic accommodation. This is the safest environment to detox in. It is also the most productive and nurturing.
Inpatients enjoy a productive schedule with daily activities and plenty of time for self-reflection. In our experience, most people need a break away from the normalities of everyday life, and this is only provided with inpatient care. Inpatients also have access to a team of medical professionals 24-hours a day.
As an outpatient, you will perform a home detox from alcohol or drugs. This is a more affordable type of rehab, but it is less successful, and is only suitable for those who have a carer or those who are able to look after themselves.
Outpatients receive therapy as an outpatient and undergo a medically-managed detox. The level of care is less than an inpatient receives. Also, outpatients do not enjoy a break away from normal life.
If you want to find out more about the different types of rehab, call our helpline on 0800 118 2892 to speak with one of our helpful advisors.
NHS Rehab In Leicestershire
Every Leicestershire resident is of course eligible for free addiction treatment on the NHS. Whether you are based in Rutland, Melton or Leicester city centre, the treatment is all the same and accessible from a nearby location.
There are pros and cons to receiving rehab treatment from the NHS for an addiction to drugs or alcohol, however. The biggest pro is of course that it is completely free and you can be started off on the process by your GP.
The main cons for free rehab treatment are that there can be a very long waiting list and the quality of treatment can vary significantly. It can be somewhat of a lottery where you are stuck with what you are given.
Private residential rehab doesn’t have these downsides of course. You are able to take the time to view the facilities, take a tour, talk to staff and compare with other rehab centres in your area. You can then decide whether you would like to be admitted immediately or schedule a date to begin, rather than this being set by the NHS.
What Does Rehab Involve?
With rehabilitation in Leicestershire you will have a personalised recovery programme created for you by your clinic. This will set out your journey and give you a plan of action.
All recovery programmes follow the same basic format:
- Treatment initiation
- Early abstinence (detox)
- Maintaining abstinence through behavioural training
Once you have chosen a rehab clinic to provide your care, you will attend a clinical assessment to assess your physical and mental health. The findings of this assessment will be used to create your personalised recovery programme.
Treatment initiation begins when you enter rehab. Immediate admission is available if immediate intervention is needed. Otherwise, you will enter rehab on a planned date. This will give you time to get your social affairs in order.
The detox stage of rehab is the most difficult. With the help of our nurses and withdrawal medication, you will abstain from the substances you are addicted to until all traces of them have left your body. This takes two weeks to one month.
Your detox in Leicestershire will take place in the safety of our clinic unless you are an outpatient.
Therapy and counselling
Therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) are important aspects of rehab Leicestershire because they treat the behavioural and social sides of addiction that detoxing alone does not touch.
You will be introduced to therapy during your detox and it is likely you will continue with therapy after you leave the care of our Leicestershire rehab clinics.
As part of your Leicestershire rehab, you can expect to:
- Undergo a supervised/monitored detox
- Be prescribed withdrawal medications
- Receive therapy and counselling sessions
- Practice therapies like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Receive alternative therapies, such as holistic therapies like massage
You will also have the opportunity to go on excursions and enjoy social activities and therapies with other patients.
These activities could include walking, cycling, horse riding, or anything else that will keep your body active and your mind sharp. We want you to enjoy your time with us, even if the business of rehab is about changing your life.
