Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab in Oxfordshire
Our world-class team of doctors, nurses, therapists, and healthcare professionals can help you beat your addiction and get drug free no matter your circumstances.
There are two main types of rehab you need to know about: inpatient rehab and outpatient rehab. The type of rehab that is best for you depends on your personal circumstances, which is why it is so important to speak with our team so you can understand what options are available to you.
Inpatient rehab
Inpatients at our Oxfordshire rehab clinics stay in clinic accommodation, so they have a safe and nurturing environment to detox in.
You will have a weekly schedule with activities, workshops, and educational sessions to ensure your time with us is as productive and as fulfilling as possible.
You will have access to BACP accredited nurses throughout your stay and everything will be taken care of for you, including your meals, washing and linen. The only thing you will have to focus on is you, your body, and your mind.
Outpatients
Outpatients at our rehab centres perform a detox at home. This has the benefit of being cheaper than inpatient care, however, you will receive less support and no break away from home.
As an outpatient, you will undergo a medically-managed detox at home and will need to check in with your rehab clinic every few days. Therapy will be arranged for you, but you will not enjoy daily activities or the roster of an inpatient.
Most people who need treatment benefit from rehab outside of their normal social setting. If you are unsure which type of rehab is best for you, speak with us on 0800 118 2892 for personalised advice.
What Does Rehab Involve?
The first stage of rehab in Oxfordshire is seeking advice about the best rehab centres available to you, based on location and your personal circumstances. We are here to provide that advice for free, so do feel free to call us to get started.
Once you have chosen an Oxfordshire rehab clinic to provide your care, you will be introduced to them and a clinical assessment will be arranged. This will take place at the clinic or in a private hospital – whichever is most convenient for you. The assessment will be used to gather information about your case.
Admission into rehab can be immediate if you need intervention now, or it can be planned on a set date if you need a little time.
Detoxing
After arriving at your rehab clinic, you will start a detox and be prescribed withdrawal medication to help ease your withdrawal symptoms. The detox will last anywhere from two weeks to one month and you will take part in activities and workshops to pass the time and keep your mind and body active.
During your detox, you will also be introduced to therapy as part of your recovery programme and receive holistic therapies like massage. We want you to enjoy your time with us, even if the process of rehab is challenging.
Therapy
The types of therapy and counselling that are best for you depends on your personal circumstances. You may have underlying medical conditions that need to be considered before therapy begins. The most common therapies are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These therapies are proven in the world of recovery and will help you stay clean long into the future.
Ongoing help and support
Whether you need drug or alcohol rehabilitation, your journey to recovery doesn’t end at the clinic doors. You will probably need ongoing support in the months following rehab to ensure you don’t relapse. This can be provided in a number of ways. You can continue therapy and counselling, and you can even have a support worker or sponsor to help you.
Rehab is a challenging process, but with the right help and support anyone can do it. Call us on 0800 118 2892 to speak with one of our friendly advisors about rehab. All advice is free and confidential.
