Why Choose a North Yorkshire Rehab Clinic?
Not only is North Yorkshire a beautiful county, our rehab centres in North Yorkshire are among the very best in the country.
You can expect comfortable accommodation and world-class facilities, as well as the best approaches to psychological and physical wellbeing.
Whether you need alcohol or drug treatment, you can be sure of receiving the right help and support you need from our clinics.
Your accommodation will offer en-suite facilities, and our clinics have their own private grounds, offering security and tranquillity. Many of our patients look back at their time with us as more like a break than rehab, which we take as a compliment.
We believe in a productive approach to rehab, which is why our treatment programmes include therapies, wellbeing sessions and daily activities. We want you to enjoy your time with us, even in the face of a drug or alcohol detox which will test you as a person.
Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab in North Yorkshire
When deciding how to approach your rehab, you will come across two different types: Inpatient and outpatient rehab. Outpatient rehab is cheaper, but it means you have to stay at home during your detox.
Inpatient rehab
Rehab is most often delivered via an inpatient rehab programme. With an inpatient programme, you stay in clinic accommodation and take part in a wellbeing programme that is designed to cleanse your body and mind.
The value of an inpatient rehabilitation programme is that it allows you to detox in a safe and secure environment. Your accommodation will be hotel-like, and you will take part in daily activities to keep your mind and body active. This type of rehab is the most successful, so we recommend it above all others at our clinics.
Outpatient rehab
We understand that staying in clinic accommodation for two to four weeks is not suitable for everyone, which is why outpatient rehab is also offered.
As an outpatient, you will undergo a home detox. The detox itself is medically-managed, but the risk of relapse is higher because you have a greater opportunity to access alcohol or drugs.
Another thing you miss out on as an outpatient is the welcome break away from the normalities of everyday life. In our experience, people who are in recovery benefit greatly from the break that rehab accommodation offers.
If you want to find out more about the types of rehab available to you, speak with one of our helpful advisors on 0800 118 2892 for personalised advice.
What Does Rehab Involve?
To help you beat addiction, you will take part in a balanced treatment programme that combines evidence based therapies with a productive wellbeing programme designed to keep your mind and body active.
To put it simply, your rehab experience as an inpatient at one of our North Yorkshire rehab clinics will be fulfilling and enjoyable. Rehab is never easy, however keeping your mind and body active goes a long way to making it bearable.
Clinical assessment
The first stage of the rehab process after choosing a clinic is attending a clinical assessment. If you need immediate admission, this will take place when you arrive at the clinic. Otherwise, it will take place on a set date at the clinic or in a private hospital (whichever is most convenient for you at the time).
Detoxing
The detox stage of rehab is the hardest. Over two weeks to one month, you will abstain from the substances you are addicted to with the help of withdrawal medication to ease your symptoms. Your detox will take place in the safe environment of your clinic, with a wellbeing programme to keep you productive.
Your North Yorkshire rehab wellbeing programme could include:
- Meditation sessions
- Anxiety workshops
- Educational workshops
- SMART recovery sessions
- Weekly gym, swimming, and workout sessions
- Weekly outings and walks
This would apply to both a drug detox and an alcohol detox, although many activities are optional. If you prefer to spend time by yourself, that is your decision to make. It’s your choice.
Therapy and counselling
You will be introduced to therapy during your detox at the clinic to help treat the behavioural and social sides of addiction. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) are proven therapies that are used all over the world, and they are also used by our rehab clinics in North Yorkshire.
You will continue with your therapy after you leave rehab. It is normal to continue counselling and therapy sessions for one to three months.
Ongoing support
Ongoing support is necessary for continued abstinence. Whether we are talking about a prescription drug detox, drug rehabilitation or alcohol rehabilitation, it’s important that you continue to have access to support when you need it so you can overcome the challenges you face.
With our rehab centres in North Yorkshire, you will receive one years’ free aftercare to help you stay clean and adjust to life without addiction.
