Why Attend Drug Or Alcohol Rehab In East Anglia?
East Anglia has numerous Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and our rehab centres are nestled into their own grounds in the countryside. They offer the perfect retreat for anyone wanting to beat addiction in a safe, relaxing space.
With rehab, most people will benefit from being pulled out of the normalities of their everyday lives which can often harbour and foster addiction. Our rehab clinics in East Anglia are nowhere near busy areas and offer a perfect escape. Many of our patients look back at their time with us as more like a break than rehab.
In addition to their outstanding locations, our rehab centres give you access to our experienced medical and clinical team of therapists, psychiatrists, physicians and BACP accredited nurses who will look after you throughout your stay and deliver aspects of your programme such as therapy and counselling.
Our rehab clinics specialise in drug and alcohol rehabilitation in East Anglia. With our clinics, you will receive:
- World-class support
- Therapy
- Counselling
- Access to a dedicated GP
- Access to holistic services
- One year of free aftercare
You will also have the opportunity to take part in group activities and excursions, with horse riding, sailing, walking, bowling and much more available.
Inpatient & Outpatient Rehab Programmes
Whether you need rehab treatment in East Anglia or a detox, you can be either an inpatient or outpatient at our clinics. The best type of rehab for you depends on your circumstances.
Inpatient rehab
As an inpatient, you will stay in clinic accommodation and undergo your detox under the supervision of nurses. You will enjoy the highest standards of care and therapy and partake in social activities with other patients.
Because you will be in a safe environment with hard restrictions on illicit substances, inpatient rehab is the most successful type of drug rehab in East Anglia. The risk of relapse is lower, and you’ll appreciate the rehab experience a lot more.
Outpatient rehab
As an outpatient, you will undergo a home alcohol detox in East Anglia or a drug detox at home. This is cheaper than staying in clinic accommodation, but it’s only suitable if you have someone to look after you during your alcohol detox in East Anglia.
Outpatients receive weekly visits from a nurse and are asked to check in with the clinic periodically. You will have access to therapy sessions and counselling, but not to the same extent as inpatients in clinic accommodation.
To find out more about the different types of alcohol rehab in East Anglia, call us on 0800 118 2892 and we will answer all your questions. We’re here to help.
What Does Rehab Involve?
The rehab East Anglia process begins with a simple chat with our team. We’ll discuss your situation and recommend rehab clinics based on your needs.
After you have been introduced to your chosen rehab clinic, you will undergo a clinical assessment so that a personalised rehab programme can be created for you. This is the first physical contact you will have with your care team.
The assessment will take place either at the clinic or a hospital – whichever is most convenient for you. For patients who are in need of immediate intervention, immediate admission is available. Otherwise, you will attend rehab on a set date. If you or your loved one needs immediate admission, please speak with us asap.
Detox
The first stage of recovery is the detox stage, which is when you abstain from the substances you are addicted to with the assistance of withdrawal medication.
The detox stage typically lasts two weeks to one month. It ends when all traces of the substances you are addicted to have left your body. You will be released from clinic care after the detox stage, but you will stay on withdrawal medication for several months after so you can adjust to life more easily and stay clean.
Therapy
During the detox stage and afterwards, you will attend therapy and counselling sessions to help treat the social and behavioural sides of addiction.
Common therapies include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). You will also speak with psychologists and psychotherapists on topic areas that have been identified as needing treatment. If you have underlying medical conditions, such as PTSD, OCD or depression, these will also be covered.
Continued abstinence
Although detoxing is the hardest stage of rehab, continued abstinence will test you as a person because temptation will always be with you. Because of this, it’s important that you continue with therapy and counselling as needed.
With our rehab centres in East Anglia, you will receive one years’ free aftercare to help support you during your continued abstinence. We will be here to chat with you about your progress and put in place any extra support you need.
If you’re ready to start your journey to recovery at an East Anglia rehab clinic, or you have a loved one who is ready to get help, a call to the Serenity helpline on 0800 118 2892 will put you in the know about your options. We’re here to help.
